10 Types of Japanese Ramen


Ramen (拉麺;ラーメン) is a Japanese noodle dish that originated in China. The Japanese also refer to ramen as chuka soba (Soba from China) or shina soba (支那そば) because soba or o-soba in Japanese often also means noodles (Source: Ramen - Wikipedia bahasa Indonesia, ensiklopedia bebas)

However, due to cultural differences in each region in Japan, as a result, foods such as ramen have their own characteristics in each region. Here are 10 types of typical Japanese ramen:

1. Kurume Ramen. is a ramen that uses boiled pork bones as its sauce, also known as tonkotsu. Usually topped with fried pork and seaweed.

2. Hakata ramen. is similar to Kurume ramen, in that it uses pork stew as the gravy, but is lighter. For the topping, you can enjoy eggs, scallions, and so on.


3. Sapporo miso. is a ramen that uses ingredients such as soy paste, ginger, garlic, and pork stock for the soup. This miso soup ramen is topped with chasu pork and bean sprouts.

4. Kitakata ramen. using hand-cut noodles served with soy sauce. The toppings are pork chashu, fish cake, and others.


5. Hakodate Ramen. the soup is made from a mixture of boiled chicken, pork, seaweed, and seafood. It tastes fresh and a little salty.


6. Wakayama Ramen. using a combination of shoyu and tonkutsu. Served with raw eggs and baraniku, it makes it even more delicious.


7. Kagoshima ramen. mix pork, chicken, dried sardines, and mushrooms as a gravy. Usually topped with scallions.


8. Nagoya Taiwan ramen. inspired by the danzai noodle dish in Taiwan. Cooked from soy sauce topped with spicy pork and chives.


9. Onomichi ramen. from Hiroshima has shoyu sauce mixed with chicken and pork. Interestingly, there is a topping of pork back fat.


10. Abura Ramen. The most famous type of dry ramen in Japan. The ingredients used are noodles, raw eggs, meat, scallions, and so on.

A unique incident in Indonesia: Indonesians are getting panic buying and making cooking oil scarce.

January 23, 2022. The Indonesian government applies a cooking oil price of Rp. 14,000 or about $1 per liter on January 19, 2022. This has caused many Indonesian people to flock to buy cooking oil on a large scale,

Meanwhile, the Minister of Trade, Muhammad Lutfi said, currently cooking oil, both premium packaging and simple packaging, will be sold at the equivalent price of Rp. 14,000 per liter. This program is expected to meet the needs of households as well as micro and small businesses. Lutfi also appealed to the public not to hoard or buy cooking oil for Rp. 14,000 per liter. "I urge the public not to panic buying or buying excessively because the government guarantees the supply and stock of cooking oil at a price of Rp. 14,000 per liter, which will definitely meet the needs of the community," said Lutfi.

In addition, Lutfi also emphasized that the government will impose sanctions on producers or cooking oil companies that sell their products at a price of more than Rp. 14,000 per liter, in which the cooking oil hoarder will be charged with Article 107 of Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade with 5 years imprisonment or a fine of IDR 50 billion or about 3.5 million dollars.
